Create Rob Zettler
Enter "Rob Zettler" as a created player name and accept the game's pre-determined attributes. The EA Sports development team left him out of the game (he was with the Toronto Maple Leafs at the time). However, all of his attributes and stats are in the game and are accurate. Note: This can also be done with other NHL players.
Duplicate NHL player
Go to the create player screen and type in an NHL player's name. Answer "Yes" to the message that appears. The NHL player you created should be a duplicate player of the original one.
Five minute power play
Get into a fight, and do not press any keys or buttons. The referee will call a five minute major on the other team.
When someone picks a fight, do not move or do anything. If done correctly, when you get up you will have your gloves on and stick in hand and get a five minute power play.
Two minute power play
Begin game play and enable the "Automatic body checks" code. When your opponent is about to make a goal, hit him when he is close to the goalie. Your opponent should get a two minute penalty for interference. Repeat this trick again until there are only three players on the other team.
Easy goal
Force the other team to have a lot of penalties and have some of their players removed. This should make goals easier, although the skill of the opposing goalie still may make things difficult.
Get all of your players near the goalie and keep shooting. Just keep rebounding the puck and just keep shooting it. You should be able to score easy goals by doing this.
Hold "Shoot" and wait until the opposing goalie goes down in the butterfly. Then, just shoot it in the empty net. You will need to be going fast to avoid getting hit by a defenseman.
When you are in your own end, wind up as if you were going to take a slapshot. Quickly pass and one time the puck. The opposing goalie will leave his net, thinking it is going around, and you will score in the empty net.
Player stats
Go to the edit lines screen and highlight an NHL Player's picture. Press the "Right Mouse Button" to see the player's stats.
Big vs. little players
Enable the "nhlkids" code during a game. The players will not turn small immediately. However, once a team changes lines the players that come out will be small, but the players that stayed on will be big. This is funny to watch, especially if you get into a fight.
