Primary Collection of Cheats
Hawaii bonus track
Select exhibition mode and choose "Williams"
as a driver. Use the Analog-stick to change his first name
to "Vacation", then return to the "Start"
screen. The Hawaii track will appear after the European Grand
Prix on the track selection screen in exhibition, time trial,
or two player modes. Alternately, win the championship under the
professional difficulty setting in Gran Prix mode.
Challenge select
Select exhibition mode and choose "Williams"
as a driver. Use the Analog-stick to change his first name
to "Pandora", then return to the "Start" screen.
Then, select challenge mode and choose the "Cheater's Special"
file. All challenges will now be available.
Gold driver
Select exhibition mode and choose "Williams"
as a driver. Use the Analog-stick to change his first name
to "Pyrite", then return to the "Start" screen.
A gold driver will be appear on the driver selection screen under
exhibition, time trail and two player modes.
Chrome driver
Select exhibition mode and choose "Williams"
as a driver. Use the Analog-stick to change his first name
to "Chrome", then return to the "Start" screen.
A silver driver will be appear on the driver selection screen
under exhibition, time trail and two player modes.
Gallery option
Select exhibition mode and choose "Williams"
as a driver. Use the Analog-stick to change his first name
to "Museum", then return to the "Start" screen.
Select the new gallery option to view the cars. Various controller
buttons will rotate and zoom the view. Alternately, win the championship
under the rookie difficulty setting in Gran Prix mode.
View credits
Select exhibition mode and choose "Williams"
as a driver. Use the Analog-stick to change his first name
to "Credits", then return to the "Start" screen.
An option to view the programmers will now be available. Alternately,
win the championship under the rookie difficulty setting in Gran
Prix mode.
Team Extreme drivers
Earn a 100% skill level in challenge mode. An option
to view the credits will appear on the opening screen and the
Team Extreme silver and gold drivers will be available under exhibition,
time trial and two player modes.
Broadcast mode
Select the television camera as a driver to use broadcast
mode.
Adjust replay view
Press [C-Up] during a replay. Then, press [Up]
or [Down] to adjust the view.
Control grid display
Press [Analog-stick Up] or [Analog-stick Down]
at the start of most races to control the grid display. Press
[B] to return it to its default position.
Always accelerate
Enable the "Gold driver" or "Chrome
driver" codes. Select either of those drivers, rookie level,
and a manual transmission. Remain in first gear when the race
begins and accelerate.
Unlimited fuel
Select Grand Prix mode and enter the paddock screen.
Set your car's fuel level as low as possible, then start a race.
Unlimited fuel will be available on the next race.
Hints
Ghost racer
Complete the San Marino track in under 1:23 to race
a ghost Mclaren car.
Smoking tires
Switch to the interior view, then hold [Brake]
and press [Accelerate].
Get cars out
Set the damage and pit in options off. Go to any circuit
with any driver. Keep the front wing of your car to the rear wing
of the other car. Eventually they will pull to the side and be
out.
Glitch: Run out of fuel before race begins
Select Grand Prix Season mode. Start a race, and the
pit/paddock car setup screen. Set your fuel level as low as possible.
Exit the pit/paddock car setup screen, and hold [A] when
the screen turns black. Your engine will whine very high. Continue
to hold [A] and quickly press [Analog-stick Up] to move
the starting grid, then stop it from moving. Press [Start]
when your engine stops whining.
