At the Configuration screen, put the level on Super, the music to 02, and the sound to 02. Then press [Select]+[I].

Fight the Bosses
At the Configuration screen, put the level on Hard, the music to 01, and the sound to 01. Then press [Select]+[I]. The exit selection will change to Boss. You may now change your settings to anything you want.
