Demon Mask
Get the townspeople to hate you by killing civilians.
Afterwards, talk to the neutral job broker in Amakaze. He will
tell you to defeat 100 guards at the shrine. If you defeat them
all, you can buy the Demon Mask at any textile store for 1,000
Mon.
Excalibur
The sword that the government general had in the original
Way Of The Samurai is also in Way Of The Samurai 2,
except it is called Excalibur. To get this sword, you must be
extremely loyal to the town's people (do a lot of jobs from the
Amakaze Inn Job Broker). Once you have earned enough trust from
the townspeople, go to the sword informant at the Amahara Shrine.
She will say something about a wild dog visiting Amahara. Quickly
go directly to Otemon Gate and talk to the foreigner. Make sure
to agree to fight him. Be prepared for a tough fight, and try
not to break his sword or all your hard work will be for nothing.
Just in case, save the ame before this tough fight. Before you
get this sword you must to visit the sword informant at least
one time. Note: To get this sword, you cannot fail a single Amakaze
Inn job. Try to save the game frequently before jobs. Also, do
not pick fights with people unless someone attacks you first,
and do not rob any stores. Also, this must be done under the normal,
hard, or sudden death difficulty settings.
Murasame
The Murasame is obtained under the normal or hard
difficulty setting. Select to work for either the Aoto gang or
the Magistrates' office. Make sure that whichever you choose,
you are completely loyal to the selected job broker. If you choose
Aoto, do not work any other broker during the entire game. The
same goes if you choose the magistrates; work only for them. One
very important factor is that you must not fail a single job from
either man you selected. If you chose to work with the Magistrates'
office and you have done sufficient jobs, he will give you a job
where he will ask you to kill the Aoto Gang job broker. This man
wields the Murasame. Kill the job broker and collect his sword.
This is the simpler way. Your other option is to work for the
Aoto Gang instead and kill the Magistrate job broker when the
job arises. After you do this, during the next nighttime period,
approach the edge of town. A samurai will be there with a name
above him reading "Killer". Talk to him and you will
fight him. After his death, he will admit who sent him. Confront
the Aoto gang broker as soon as this happens (as in the same time
period), and choose the option to kill him. After you are victorious,
you will have his sword, the Murasame.
Sword Powder
Start a score under any difficulty setting and wait
until late at night. Go Numata-Cho and kill the blacksmith. He
drops a Sword Powder which will add 5 Attack to your weapon. Repeat
this for unlimited Sword Powders.
Weapon Safe upgrade
You can increase the size of your weapon safe by talking
to a woman next to the blacksmith at night time. She will increase
the size of your safe for the following prices.
Increase from 20 to 30 slots: 500 Mon
Increase from 30 to 40 slots: 1000 Mon
Increase from 40 to 50 slots: 1600 Mon
Increase from 50 to 60 slots: 2400 Mon
Increase from 60 to 70 slots: 3200 Mon
Special accessories
Get 2,100 points to unlock the Afro.
Get 2,400 points to unlock the Shades.
Getting money
Go to the shrine during the day and you will see a
boy named Kotsubo. Talk to him to fight a random "Boss"
to earn Mon. If you lose the fight, you will lose Mon.
When you complete a job you will get paid some money. The Majistrates
pay the most for jobs. The Aoto gang pays slightly less. The Job
broker pays the least.
Pickpocketing can only be done if you do jobs for the Aoto clan.
After you do a few jobs you will get a job that requires you to
pick a Magistrate's pocket. This is done by simply bumping into
him from his front. Once you get this mission, you will be able
to pickpocket for the rest of the game. You can get 10 Mon, 5
Mon, or 1 Mon by doing this. You can pickpocket the same person
as many times as desired. Trying to pickpocket a Magistrate and
Aoto gang member will probably result in them attacking you (and
no money from them).
Every time you kick a foreigner he will drop 5 Mon. Cutting down
innocent people will get you some Mon sometimes. If you cut down
too many people stores will not let you buy or do anything in
them.
Breaking boxes will almost always get you some money or the occasional
rice ball. Breaking buckets and pots though fun will not get you
anything.
Festival fight
On the 26th, during festival battle, sheathe your weapon
and run away. The opponents will kill each other, even if you
are not fighting. Kill off any survivors afterwards.
Quick item pick-up
To quickly pick up an item, even in battle, hold [R1]
and tap [Square] when you are near the desired item.
Unlimited food
In Part 1, Start a new game under the easy difficulty
setting. Bring a good weapon. Talk to the "no name girl"
at the begging and say "Thanks, you saved my life!"
to skip past her part. When you talk to the Aoto Gang 3, say "I'm
searching for the way of life" and they should leave you
alone. Go to the Magistrate's office and complete the intermission
sequence where you have to fight Goshiro. In Part 2, after the
first part, keep going to the Magistrate's office and getting
jobs. Sleep when needed and keep doing jobs for them. Note: Do
not anger or harass people or this will not work later. A day
before the Festival on the 26th, on the morning of the 25th, go
to Otsuka-cho (where your home is located). Go to the greengrocer
there. Buy lots of radishes then go back to the map. Press [Start],
display the menu, then choose "Safe Selections". Open
your item box and store them. Go back and repeat until you are
out of money. Then, either finish a game mode or leave Amahara
and save the game. In Part 3, once you have done all this, start
a new game in any mode. In the starting screen where you can select
swords and your look, go to items and take out as many radishes
as desired. You can keep doing this trick repeatedly to get more
food, and can get food from your safe at any time in any game.
Note: If you die you will lose all of your items, swords, and
money you are carrying if you save the game afterwards. Note:
Radishes cost 250 Mon at the greengrocers. Radishes heal 600 HP.

Broken sword warning
If you have Dojima work on your sword and he says "There's
not much more i can do for this weapon", do not have your
sword worked on. If you choose to have it worked on, it could
break and you will lose that sword.
