Change Difficulty
At the title screen, enter [Down], [Up], [Down], [Up], [Left], [Left], [Right], [Right], [R3], [R3], [L3], [L3], [X], [O]. After that you will hear a confirmation sound. During the level select screen, hold [R2] and [Up] and select the stage will change that stage's difficulty to Hard. Hold [R2] and [Down] instead will change the difficulty to Very Hard.
